Coastal & surveillance craft

Versatility, endurance and safety for coastal missions

Reliable platforms for coastal security operations

Versatile, reliable and enduring vessels designed to support coastal surveillance, maritime security and sovereign missions.

Agile and robust craft for government maritime

operations In the 11 to 20-metre range, TLT Marine & Services, through its UFAST naval shipyard, designs and builds coastal and surveillance craft for law enforcement agencies, coast guards and maritime administrations.

Their design is based on proven hull forms, structural robustness and ease of maintenance — essential assets for the day-to-day requirements of State action at sea.

Fast and highly versatile, these vessels operate on the front line of coastal surveillance, counter-trafficking operations, environmental protection and search and rescue missions.

TLT–UFAST expertise: mission-driven platforms

Our design office develops modular platforms tailored to the needs of maritime authorities, law enforcement agencies and coast guards, featuring:

• Deep-V hulls with double chines for excellent seakeeping in rough conditions

• Composite or aluminium construction depending on mission profiles

• Full integration of mission, navigation, communication and safety systems

• Ergonomics and comfort adapted to professional crews

• Proven operational speeds of up to 35 knots

VSM 20 – A widely deployed reference platform

The VSM 20 embodies the shipyard’s expertise: a 20-metre surveillance craft designed for maritime security and patrol missions.

Deployed by numerous French and international administrations, it is distinguished by:

  • A deep-V hull with double chines

  • Endurance exceeding 800 nautical miles

  • Optimised accommodation for a crew of up to eight

  • A 4.9-metre RHIB integrated in a stern launch bay

  • A winching platform for search and rescue operations

Its robust design, validated by leading classification societies, enables operation in demanding sea conditions while maintaining speed, stability and crew comfort.

With more than sixty units delivered across a dozen countries, the VSM 20 has become a recognised reference in maritime surveillance.

UFC 11 – Next-generation coastal craft

Fast, robust and highly manoeuvrable, the UFC 12 illustrates the shipyard’s ability to deliver compact and high-performance vessels for coastal and port surveillance.

Built in aluminium, it combines speed (up to 32 knots) with structural strength, and features reinforced peripheral protection for interception operations.

With seating for six operators on suspended seats, excellent manoeuvrability and strong seakeeping capabilities, it is well suited to counter-trafficking missions, support to intervention units and emergency medical evacuation.

A versatile and efficient craft, fully adapted to public service and maritime security missions.

VSC 12 – Endurance and modularity

The RPB 12 extends this expertise into a highly modular platform, configurable as a surveillance craft, pilot boat or rescue unit.

Its deep-V hull with double chines allows sustained speeds of 30 to 35 knots in rough seas, combined with a lightweight and resilient composite structure.

Optional unsinkable and self-righting features make the RPB 12 a balanced combination of performance, safety and modularity, suited to both civilian and military operators.

UFC 12 – Securing major ports

Developed for the French Maritime Gendarmerie, the VSMP 11 is a fast patrol craft dedicated to port security and coastal intervention missions.

Its deep-V hull and reinforced bow provide exceptional seakeeping and rapid acceleration, reaching speeds of up to 38 knots, depending on propulsion (waterjets or propellers).

The enclosed cabin accommodates up to eight personnel, while its reinforced composite construction ensures durability and long service life.

It reflects the shipyard’s ability to deliver certified, robust and configurable platforms tailored to the needs of maritime authorities.

Vessels serving coastal security

From major European ports to African and island coastal regions, TLT–UFAST surveillance craft operate daily under the colours of maritime administrations, customs services, police forces and navies.

They embody the shipyard’s philosophy: building simple, effective and reliable vessels, ready to fulfil their mission day after day.
